Introducing the New Settings Page: Customize Your Mem-App Experience

In the latest update, Mem-App introduces a new Settings Page, giving users more control over how they interact with their vocabulary and flashcard review experience. The new settings are divided into two categories: account-level and device-level settings.

Account-Level Settings

Display Name

The account-level setting is straightforward but essential. You can now set a "Display Name" that will be consistent across all devices where you sign in with your account. This helps personalize your experience and keeps your identity consistent, no matter where you access Mem-App.

Device-Level Settings

The device-level settings provide more granular control over how you interact with words during your review sessions. These settings apply only to the specific device you're using, allowing for a tailored experience depending on your environment or preferences.

1. Example Usage Blur Control

By default, the example usage of words is blurred to encourage you to think about the word's meaning before revealing how it's used in context. However, with the new setting, you can now choose whether to keep this feature or always display the example usage without blur.

2. Meaning and Synonyms/Antonyms Blur Control

Similar to the example usage, the meanings, synonyms, and antonyms sections are initially blurred until you click on them. This encourages active recall and engagement with the word before confirming its meaning. Now, you can decide whether you prefer this default behavior or if you want these sections to be always visible from the start.

3. Settings Section Visibility

The settings section for each word review card is typically hidden until you interact with the word's meaning, usage, or synonyms/antonyms sections, or click the toggle control. With this update, you can choose whether you want the settings section to be always visible whenever you load a word review card.

These enhancements are designed to make your Mem-App experience more personalized and aligned with your learning preferences. Whether you prefer a more challenging review process or an always-visible, ready-to-use layout, these settings allow you to shape your vocabulary learning to suit your style.
